Buckeye Blackout Concert, Newport Music Hall, 8 PM - 12 AM

The Buckeye Blackout Concert is an annual event where all of campus can celebrate sustainability, reinforce important lessons about our lifestyles, and encourage energy savings at home. Held at the Newport Music Hall, the event features three local bands and two bands comprised entirely of Ohio State students. The concert features training on how to lead a more earth-mindful life before equipping guests with giveaways that facilitate such a lifestyle. Placing the show in a culturally important venue and featuring local acts emphasizes how prioritizing one’s local community is part of a sustainable lifestyle, as it can cut carbon and improve the city's infrastructure.
