Students announce 'Energy@OSU; a lecture series'
Students on the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) sustainability committee at Ohio State are planning a lecture series about energy. Speakers at these events will discuss sustainability, innovation and the new energy projects popping up around Columbus and the university campus.
The first event will take place at 7 p.m. Jan. 24 in CBEC Room 130. The evening’s speaker is Tyler Bagdasarian, an account executive at an energy efficiency company called Ameresco. In his position, he works to analyze energy consumption and utility spending to implement energy efficient solutions and renewable energy solutions for school districts, cities, universities, counties and non-profit organizations. Previously, he worked as a legislative fellow at the Ohio Legislative Service Commission and interned for Congressman David Joyce and the Armenian Assembly of America. Bagdasarian graduated from University of Dayton with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in 2015.
The next two events are planned for Feb. 21 and Mar. 21. Updates to come as speakers are confirmed by the sustainability committee!
